Hasbro Clothing rebrands stores

Chennai, Aug. 17

Hasbro Clothing Pvt Ltd, that owns formal and casual menswear brands Genesis and Basics, has embarked on a new retail initiative targeting the youth. The company’s stores called Genesis Basics have been rebranded as Basics Life, even as it continues selling formalwear under the Genesis brand. “We have changed almost everything including logo, brand positioning, product design, store design and communication,” said Mr Hanif Sattar, Director of the company. Besides, the company has decided to foray into retailing other menswear brands too. The company currently has 41 exclusive brand outlets selling formal menswear brand Genesis, and casual brands Basics 029 and Probase. In addition, these products are also sold through over 900 multi-brand outlets across Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Colombo and Maldives.
