Leela Kovalam gets ISO tag

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 16

The Leela Kempinski Kovalam Beach Resort has been certified ISO 14001: 2004 by The Bureau Veritas group.

Commenting on the certification, Mr Biswajit Chakraborty, General Manager, The Leela Kempinski Kovalam Beach, said that ISO 14001: 2004 was truly an achievement for The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts Group and was a testimony to the Chairman, Capt Krishnan Nair's vision and commitment to environment.

The challenge now is to maintain these standards and improve further, Mr Chakraborty added. ISO 14001:2004 is an internationally accepted standard for placing an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). - Our Bureau
