Finacle develops new solution

Bangalore Aug 14

Finacle, the banking product of Infosys Technologies, has developed a new technology solution that would help commercial banks to drive financial inclusion. Financial inclusion is delivery of banking services at affordable costs to the vast sections of disadvantaged and low-income groups. Mr Haragopal Mangipudi, Vice-President and Business Head, Finacle, said the company had developed the financial inclusion solution which works with the core banking solution (CBS) of Inf osys and other vendors. Using Infosys solution, banks can provide access to their end-customers either through a smart card or biometrics, he said. The company plans to leverage its existing customer base of commercial banks to cross-sell its offerings. About 65 per cent of the banks in India use Finacle CBS. Other new offerings such as Rural Banking and Finacle version 10 have also received good response, he said.
