Meet on green data centres

Mumbai, Aug. 12

The Trade Fairs and Conference International (TFCI) today organised a summit ‘DataCenter 2009’ to discuss drivers that can help build greener data centres. The topics covered at the conference emphasised on critical factors such as people, technologies, processes, data centre facilities, the value proposition of a business, and how to effectively manage impending transitions. Mr Suresh Menon, Head, Storage and Solutions Business, Dell India, said, “Green IT is an important area of concern for enterprises today. Technology solutions and services in the areas of virtualisation, information life cycle and flex computing combined with energy-efficient servers, storage and clients can help customers achieve energy savings.”
