Nucleus bags Philippines bank order

New Delhi, Aug. 10 Nucleus Software Exports has bagged a core banking order for its product FinnOne from Malayan Bank of the Philippines.

The implementation of the complete banking solution is aimed at enhancing the bank’s operations.

The FinnOne suite will be implemented at nine branches of the bank including the head office; Nucleus said but did not disclose the size of the order.

New opportunities

The project is in sync with Malayan Bank’s branch expansion and product diversification programme to generate new business opportunities and expands its customer base. IP Converge, an IT and telecom company, is the business partner and the system integrator of Nucleus, for the project.

“The core banking solutions comprising customer acquisition system, loan management system, general ledger and deposits and collection modules will integrate the front-middle-back office functions, speeding-up turnaround time of operations and resulting in higher efficiency, and enhanced customer relationships,” a company statement said.

Spread across seven cities, Malayan Bank is a savings and mortgage bank which is a joint undertaking of the major shareholders of GMA-7 Broadcast Network, LINQ Information Quadrant Corporation (a subsidiary of Philippine Daily Inquirer), Liberty Flourmills and Majalco Group of companies.
