Regulatory Bodies & Rulings Our Bureau Mumbai, Aug. 2 SEBI has confirmed the interim order against Ms Viral Doshi in the case involving Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd, banning her from the market until further orders. Ms Doshi’s contention was that Rs 10 lakh transferred to her bank account from Mr Nirmal Kotecha’s in September 2008 was transferred to one Mr Shailesh Jayantilal Shah’s account the same day towards a short-term loan for the education of his nephew. She claimed the cash was not invested in the market, a SEBI order issued on Friday said. However, SEBI did not accept the plea as Rs 2,67,584 of the Rs 10 lakh was not accounted for. The order follows SAT’s direction to pass the final order before July 31. Pyramid Saimira case: Ball in SEBI’s court More Stories on : Regulatory Bodies & Rulings | Cinema
