Infrastructure summit

Chennai, July 31

The Confederation of Indian Industry will organise Suminfra 2009 on August 6 and 7 at Chennai, on the theme ‘Fast-tracking infrastructure development through PPPs’. The objectives of the summit are to showcase models and case studies of best practices in public-private-partnership in infrastructure and learning experiences in Indian PPPs, Mr J. P. Nayak, Chairman, Suminfra 2009, said here. The summit will also feature State Integrated Infrastructure Promotion ( SIIP), a forum for State governments to promote opportunities for the private sector in infrastructure, he said. The Union Minister for Urban Development, Mr Jaipal Reddy, is expected to attend, he said. –
