Our Bureau

Chennai, July 31 The Chennai-based Odyssey Technologies Ltd has developed a paperless verification tool, Odyssey Epic.

The solution can be loaded on to a mobile phone that has a GPRS connection, a camera and a Windows operating system.

The product, which is targeted at banks and insurance companies, eliminates the collection of paper documents and photographs by acquiring the information directly in a digital format on a real-time basis. The Reserve Bank of India accepts the digital form of documents sent using mobile phones.

Odyssey is in talks with banks to use the product, the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Robert Raja, said.
