Infrastructure States - Kerala Infopark organises meeting with builders Our Bureau Kochi, July 24 As part of the initiatives being undertaken by Infopark and the State Government to develop IT along the hub and spoke model in the State, Infopark organised a meeting with the builders operating in the region. The objective of the meet was to take the builder community into confidence and make it understand the various development initiatives being undertaken.Mr Siddhartha Bhattacharya, CEO, Infopark, spoke about the various IT park projects being implemented by Infopark at Kochi, Thrissur, Cherthala and Ambalappuzha. About 30 members of the builders’ forum participated in the meeting. Mr Bhattacharya also spoke about the support being extended by the Government to promote private investment in the State, including investment in real estate development. He pointed out that there were some positive signs of industry picking up and the Government was coming forward to create the basic infrastructure required by the IT/ITeS industry in the State and this was the right time for the builder community to come up with their business plans and think how they wanted to participate in the development initiatives. Mr Bhattacharya wanted the companies to come forward with their expectations so that the Government could take into consideration these views also while formulating policy decisions.
