3M expands Moraiya facility

Ahmedabad, July 24

The promoters of Scotchbrite and Post-it, 3M India Ltd, has expanded its facility at Moraiya three-fold with an investment of Rs 27 crore. The facility with 39 employees will manufacture products for 3M's Corrosion Protection Products Division, sad Ms Linn Veltema, Senior Executive Director, Total Supply Chain. "We have invested Rs 37 crore in Gujarat in the last five years and a total of Rs 80 crore-100 crore in India. We will focus on our facilities in Ahmedabad and Pune going forward and launch 70 products in this financial year," said Ms Veltema. A small medical factory was also in the pipeline, she said. - Our Bureau
