Visaka Ind net rises 77%

Hyderabad, July 21

Visakha Industries Ltd (VIL) recorded a 77 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 25.85 crore (Rs 14.64 crore) for the first quarter of fiscal 2009-10 ended June 30. The turnover for the quarter under review grew by 9 per cent at Rs 189.6 crore (Rs 173.53 crore). The earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 16.28 (Rs 9.22). The company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 1.50 per equity share of Rs 10 each. - Our Bureau
