New Discover rolled out, to cost Rs 40,000

Mumbai, July 17 The 100cc Discover DTS-Si from the Bajaj Auto stable will sport a price tag of Rs 40,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).

It will directly be pitted against Hero Honda’s Splendor and Passion models which are the leaders in this segment.

The Discover will be available for sale from July 27. Dr R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government, rolled out the bike at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant near Pune, on Friday.

“With the launch of the Discover DTS-Si, our R&D (research and Development) team has once again delivered a technologically superior product, well ahead of the best available internationally,” said Mr Rahul Bajaj, Chairman.
