Industry & Economy - Budget
Introduce free medical insurance for the poor

The main problems faced by the elders are neglect and age-related ailments. The Budget should introduce free medical insurance scheme for the poor, so that they could get quality medical service.

Most of the elders are left out of the medical insurance schemes or they are not able to meet the ever increasing medicare cost . A low-cost comprehensive national scheme should be introduced to cover all senior citizens. Free breakfast scheme must b e introduced in schools along with the present mid-day meal scheme for poor children. This would help improve enrolment, give better food security, and reduce number of drop outs. A special tuition scheme could be introduced for the benefit of backward students.
