Thiruvananthapuram, June 18 Toonz Animation India Ltd and the Ireland-based Telegael Group have announced a partnership to produce animated content.

The two companies would work together to develop, co-produce and finance animation films and television series for global distribution, said a company spokesperson.

Toonz and the Telegael Group, have earlier worked together on Freefonix, an animated television series for BBC, which is now being distributed internationally, the spokesperson added.

The partnership was in keeping with the trend in the animation industry to operate based on a global model, said Mr Paul Cummins, CEO, Telegael Group.
