Wipro launches high-end office furniture range

With the organised furniture market set to grow by 30 per cent on its current base of Rs 1,200 crore, Wipro Furniture Business (part of Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting Group) has launched a furniture range called ‘Startline’ for the ultra-premium market.

Mr Parag Kulkarni, Vice-President and Head, Wipro Furniture, said at a press conference recently that there was huge demand for designer furniture in the market.

“Startline will give our customers international range at a competitive price,” he said.

Wipro will target the business-to-business segment for growth, with a focus on IT and ITES sector. Mr Kulkarni said the premium range and high-end office furniture business is estimated at Rs 450 crore.
