CtrlS deploys water-based cooling tech

Hyderabad, June 6

CtrlS Datacentres Ltd has deployed water-based cooling technology at its facility here in association with Emerson Network Power India Pvt Ltd. “The new system uses water-based heat transfer technology and saves 30 per cent on energy costs annually when compared with power generators-based cooling system,” Mr Sridhar Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, CtrlS, told newspersons here on Thursday. Over 50 per cent of the power-consumption expenses in a data cent re would be spent on cooling the servers. “But our system is a Green IT initiative and is both eco-friendly and relatively inexpensive,” Mr Reddy said. The Hyderabad-based company would be completing its second-phase expansion of its data centre in next two months, he added.
