Joseph Massey to head MCX-SX

Mumbai, May 31

Mr Joseph Massey, Managing Director and CEO of commodity exchange MCX, will take over as Managing Director and CEO of MCX Stock Exchange (MCX-SX), which trades in currency futures. Mr Massey has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector and has worked in institutions such as LIC, RBI, SHCIL, Vadodara Stock Exchange and also as Managing Director of Inter-connected Stock Exchange Ltd, a press release said. Mr Lamon Rutten, currently Joint Managing Director of MCX, would succeed Mr Massey as the MD and CEO. MCX-SX also appointed Mr Ashok Jha, former Union Finance Secretary, as its non-executive Chairman. Mr Jha, who will join the board from August 1, will succeed Mr P.G. Kakodkar, former SBI Chairman. Mr S.A. Dave, former UTI Chairman, will join the board as an independent Director, the release added.
