Thiruvananthapuram, May 25

The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) has announced a prize scheme for dairy farmers and consumers as part of the World Milk Day being observed on June 1. Mr Kallada Ramesh, Chairman, Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd, which is affiliated to Milma, said here on Monday that two dairy farmers each in every district in the State, who supplied milk to dairy societies on May 21, would be given television sets and five bags of cattle feed. The farmers would be selected through lots. Similarly, a prize coupon will be distributed along with every cover of milk sold on June 1. One consumer in every district who possesses the lucky coupons picked through lots will be given a colour television, apart from one litre of milk free of cost for one month. - Our Bureau
