Fujifilm launches new computer-based x-ray machine

New Delhi, May 15 Imaging firm Fujifilm on Friday said it plans to sell around 5,000 units of its new computer-based x-ray machine in the next five years. The company, which today launched its fifth model of the computed radiography called ‘Prima’, said it aims to achieve a market share of 50 per cent this year in the segment. “There are around 23,000 imaging clinics in the country, which are still using the conventional facility. We see this as a potential to grow the market of CR system. So in the next five years, we hope to sell 5,000 units of Prima,” the Fujifilm India Managing Director, Mr Kenichi Tanaka, said here. The company, which sells its products through Jindal Photo, said it plans to take its market share in the segment to around 50 per cent this year.
