Suzlon pays €30 m for REpower stake

Mumbai, May 2 India’s largest wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd has paid €30 million to Martifer SGPS SA of Portugal on Thursday, as a partial payment for a stake in REpower of Germany, the Portuguese company said in a statement on its Web site.

It has increased Suzlon’s holding in REpower to about 75 per cent.

To complete purchase

Suzlon needs to pay the remaining €175 million by the month end to complete the purchase of 22.4 per cent stake in REpower Systems AG.
