Cashew exporters’ team to visit US on alliance

Kochi, April 28 The Cashew Export Promotion Council of India is sponsoring a five-member delegation to the US to discuss with representatives of SINDICAJU, which is the association of cashew processors and exporters in Brazil, the modalities for setting up a global cashew alliance.

The alliance, according to an official release, is meant to promote the interests of cashew producers and its consumers the world over. The members of the delegation are: Mr Walter D’Souza, immediate past Chairman of CEPCI and Convenor, Global Cashew Alliance; Mr M.A. Anzar and Mr P. Sundaran, (both members of CEPCI Committee of Administration), Mr N. Satheesh Kumar of Kumar Cashew Exports, and Mr K. Rajiv Kumar of Binod Cashew Corporation (both CEPCI members).

During the course of its visit, the delegation will also be attending the annual convention of Association of Food Industries (AFI) at Naples, Florida, US from April 30 to May 2.
