Global recession has cut down tourist inflow to Munnar, Kerala, by a fourth this season. Resorts with their own unique selling points, such as Blackberry Hills Eco Mountain Lodge located on a mountain slope 3 km from Munnar town, are barely able to keep their heads above water thanks to the patronage of domestic tourists looking for a different experience.
