New terminal operational: The new domestic departure terminal 1-D of the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi became operational on Sunday. Built at a cost of Rs 500 crore ($100 million) by Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), a GMR-led consortium, it will be able to handle 10 million passengers annually and is equipped with 72 check-in counters.
