ECIL system for armed forces

Hyderabad, April 17

Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL) has successfully manufactured and supplied a networkcentric advanced integrated system for the Indian armed forces. The first of the systems, called COMINT, has been tested and would be in operation shortly, according to a press release from the public sector undertaking under the Department of Atomic Energy. The Defence Electronics Research Laboratory at Hyderabad has been responsible for the design and development of the technology systems. Several small and medium enterprises were also involved in the production phase, the release said.
