New Delhi, March 25 French salon and spa chain Jean-Claude Biguine has mandated Ernst & Young to help it raise about Rs 40-50 crore through investors. The brand, which entered India last year, said it is looking to launch its range of products in the hair care category.

“The demand for in-salon skincare treatments is growing at 40-45 per cent annually. We are looking to make our presence felt in the sector,” said Mr Dharmendra Manwani, Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Claude Biguine.

Store for men

The company has also joined hands with retailer Aditya Birla Group to start the retail venture ‘The Collective’, a departmental store for men.

Speaking on the expansion, Mr Manwani said the brand currently owns two exclusive outlets.

“Our aim is to open about 35 outlets by 2012. It would be a combination of franchise-owned and company promoted.”

With Aditya Birla Group, it is planning to start a chain of 30 outlets.

Training academy

The company also runs a full-fledged training academy to secure its manpower needs.

The company said it will also be retailing its product line, including its organic hair care range here.
