Strategy States - Tamil Nadu Mixis soon from Sowbhaghya Electric induction stoves, made according to the design and model specified by Sowbaghya, will be sourced from abroad.
T. Murrali Chennai, March 22 Chennai-based wet-grinder manufacturer, the Rs 35-crore Sowbaghya Group, plans to manufacture mixi and electric induction stoves. Mr A. Praveen Kumar, Head- Business Development of the company, told Business Line that the company is working on the models and modalities of manufacturing mixi and will freeze plans in a few months. The company makes wet grinders, machines to make dosas, idlis and chapattis. It also makes vegetable cutters at its facilities in Erode and Coimbatore. Induction stovesElectric induction stoves will be sourced from abroad. The stoves will be made according to the design and model specified by Sowbaghya. It is working on the model and the country from which it will be sourced. Recently, the company entered the electric rice cooker market. The electric rice cookers are sourced from Malaysia. The company expects to sell 12,000 rice cookers this year and 30,000 the following year. As part of its retail initiative, the company has also begun selling beverage vending machines under the brand Cup o’ Cofe. It has installed six such machines in Chennai and Erode. These machines will dispense beverages such as hot and cold coffee, milk shakes and hot chocolates. The LCD screen on the machines will run advertisements, an additional source of revenue for the company. Next year, the company will install at least four machines per month.
