Infrastructure Industry & Economy - Consumerism States - Maharashtra Feedback chief seeks data Mumbai, March 16 Mr Vinayak Chatterjee, Chairman, Feedback Ventures, has filed an RTI application seeking information on data relating to gross capital formation in infrastructure (GCFI) from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, the Planning Commission, and the Finance, Ministry, in his individual capacity. Feedback Ventures is a provider of advisory, engineering, project management and capacity building services to companies, governments and development organisations. L&T, IDFC and HDFC are shareholders of the company. Mr Chatterjee said, “While the focus of the government on the infrastructure sector is laudable, it is surprising that there is no authentic data available on GCFI. The government has routinely shared statistics such as GDP, Industry-Agriculture-Services Output, Inflation, Forex Reserves, FDI, Fiscal Deficit, and Revenue Deficit, whereas all information on the investment in the infrastructure sector is just at a ‘planned and potential’ level.” — Our Bureau More Stories on : Infrastructure | Consumerism | Maharashtra
