Insecticides’ expansion at Dahej

Hyderabad, March 3

Insecticides (India) Ltd, a Delhi-based firm, will complete the expansion of the 30-acre facility at Dahej Industrial area in Gujarat by the second half of the 2010. The facility, which will have a manufacturing capacity of 20,000 tonnes a year, would also house a R&D unit. The company would invest Rs 50 crore, including Rs 15 crore it raised from the public issue. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director of Insecticides (Ind ia), said the company had a share of 6 per cent in the Rs 5,000-crore insecticide market in the country. The company, which registered a turnover of Rs 250 crore in 2007-08. —
