Plans to check imported medical devices

New Delhi, Feb. 20 In a bid to check import of substandard medical devices, the Government has said it was planning to put in place a regulatory mechanism to keep an eye on manufacturers of medical equipment.

The Union Minister for Science and Technology, Mr Kapil Sibal, said, “We have drawn up a proposal for a mechanism to validate such equipment.”
