Mr K.G. Prabhakar, Director of MES group of institutions, has urged management students to have straight thinking to attain success in their chosen field.

Presiding over the inaugural function of Ankura 2009, an inter-college literary festival hosted by MES Institute of Management here on Thursday, Mr Prabhakar told the future managers to develop qualities and traits that would distinguish them from others.

Mr N. Rajashekar, Regional General Manager of The Hindu, Bangalore, spoke on the importance of reading newspapers. “You update your knowledge by reading newspapers and should cultivate this habit,” he said.

The three-day festival has attracted about 200 students from 30 management colleges of Bangalore.

Various competitions such as business quiz and best manager have been lined up during the event. Mr D. Rajaraman, Principal of the institute, welcomed the gathering.
