Our Bureau Mumbai, Feb. 13 The promoters of Reliance Capital on Friday pledged 4.03 per cent of the company shares, out of their total holding of 53.49 per cent. According to the disclosure made by the company, it has pledged 98,93,179 (0.99 crore) shares of Reliance Capital approximately worth Rs 426.69 crore at Friday’s closing price Rs 431.30 on the BSE. On Friday, Reliance Capital closed 3.43 per cent up from its previous close on the BSE. Promoters of Suzlon Energy also pledged 25.85 per cent of the company shares, according to a disclosure to the stock exchange. A total of 38.724 crore shares were pledged which are valued at Rs 1,814.21 crore at Friday’s closing price of Rs 46.85. Pledged shares constitute more than 50 per cent of the promoters shareholding of around 63.83 crore shares. The shares of Suzlon gained 2.97 per cent from the previous close.
