Award for ICAI Coimbatore branch

Coimbatore, Feb. 6

The Coimbatore branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has bagged the ‘Performance Award’ for 2008, under the category of big branches in India. According to the Chairman of the ICAI Coimbatore branch, Mr S.A. Gopalakrishnan, this was the first time that the branch (set up in 1962) had bagged the award. The Minister for Corporate Affairs, Mr Prem Chand Gupta, gave away the award at the 159th annual function of the ICAI.
