Workers loading coir mats at a coir manufacturing unit near Alappuzha. Coir mats exports from the country improved in volume by three per cent and in value terms by 14 per cent to stand at 6,305 tonnes worth Rs 40.98 crore during December 2008, according to Coir Boards data.
