Mahindra Great Escape concludes in Munnar

Kochi, Jan. 29 Munnar was the venue for the 48th Mahindra Great Escape rally where a total of 68 vehicles participated. This non-competitive rally, which followed a challenging route through the hill station’s lush green carpets of tea plantations, hills, waterfalls, lakes, and sandalwood groves, was flagged-off by Mr Chacko, Deputy Superintendent of Police from Club Mahindra Lakeview Resort, Munnar.

This edition of the Mahindra Great Escape was held in association with Bosch, JK Tyre and Shell and saw participation from 255 motoring enthusiasts.

This is the second time the Mahindra Great Escape is being held in Munnar, with this year’s call for entries receiving a phenomenal response. In fact, acknowledging the enthusiasm of Mahindra vehicle owners, the organisers permitted the participation of additional entries in the 60 km-long Great Escape. A total of 255 people participated as drivers, navigators and passengers in this event that culminated in the plush Club Mahindra Lakeview Resort. .

The Munnar Great Escape Course was designed by Mahindra’s team. Mahindra ‘With You Hamesha’ service support team, with the help of TVS and Sons Ltd (local dealers), ensured that all 68 vehicles reached the finish line safely.

Raid de Himalaya

The event also witnessed the felicitation of the winners of the Raid de Himalaya in the Adventure category. Mr K. Prasad (driver) and Mr Babu (navigator) were the winning duo who drove their Mahindra Scorpio SUV to victory at the rally.

They were felicitated by Mr Arif Rizwy, Senior Manager of Marketing Services at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (Auto Sector).
