South Indian Bank Web site awarded

Kochi, Jan. 27

South Indian Bank has bagged the “Best Asian Banking Web Site” award from Asian Banking and Finance Magazine, Singapore in “Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards-2008”, competition for its Web site, www.southindianbank.com. “We are happy that the bank has bagged this award which redefines the standards of Web site excellence” Dr V.A. Joseph , Managing Director & CEO of the ban k, said. The bank has already bagged a special award for excellence in banking technology in 2007 from IDRBT which is the technical arm of the RBI. Mr A.G. Varughese, DGM, Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) of the bank, received the award in Singapore.
