Award for University of Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec. 17

The Ministry of Science and Technology has declared University of Hyderabad as the second best university in the country. A release from the university said that the recognition comes with an award known as Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence. “The award comes with a grant of Rs 10 crore for every year for the next three years,” it added. The award was received by Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, Prof. Seyed E. Hasnain, fro m the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh. —
