Esab to shut on Saturdays

Chennai, Dec 10 Esab India Ltd, the welding and cutting products manufacturer, has decided to shut down on Saturdays to cut production.

The company has informed the Stock Exchange that it would shut down its operation on all Saturdays. The manufacturing units in Ambattur, Irrungattukottai and Khardah will work five days a week. This is a temporary arrangement to tide over the slump in the market . Esab will revert to a six-day week as soon as the situation improves, the release added.
