Bank of Rajasthan net up at Rs 31 cr

Mumbai, July 22 A fall in other income saw Bank of Rajasthan’s net profit increase marginally by 2.49 per cent for the quarter ended June 30, 2008.

The bank posted a net profit of Rs 30.92 crore , up from Rs 30.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net interest income increased to Rs 86 crore (Rs 82 crore) while other income decreased to Rs 22 crore (Rs 25 crore).

The proportion of net NPA’s to total advances declined to 0.42 per cent (0.67 percent).

The bank’s return on assets for this quarter declined to 0.20 per cent from 0.26 per cent same period last year.

The capital adequacy ratio of the bank stood at 12.26 per cent for the quarter (11.90 per cent).
