Mumbai June 11

Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has reported a nearly 13 per cent drop in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 at Rs 248.69 crore against Rs 284.65 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. During the quarter, its total income stood at Rs 1,177.44 crore against Rs 1,080.56 crore in the year ago period. For the whole year, its net profit was Rs 813.90 crore against Rs 1,014.58 crore in the previous year, while its income was Rs 4,084 .36 crore (Rs 4,210.36 crore).
