Kolkata, April 7 Caparo’s proposed ancillary unit at Singur will supply close to 10 per cent of the components required for making Tata’s ‘Nano’, Lord Swraj Paul, Chairman, Caparo Group, said here today. “We cannot let the Tatas down. The unit will be operational at the same time as the Tata’s car project,” he said at a press conference at the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation office here today.

A delegation from Great Britain, headed by Lord Paul, today met the State Industry and Commerce Minister, Mr Nirupam Sen, at a meeting organised by the West Bengal Assembly standing committee on Commerce & Industry at WBIDC. “We have showcased the industrial opportunities in West Bengal to the delegation and have sought the UK’s help in building bilateral cooperation,” Mr Sen said.
