Opinion - Letters
Clarification

This has reference to the article ‘Breaking up price-fixing cartels’ (Business Line, February 4). We would just like to clarify a few points. With respect to the European Commission’s investigation into fuel surcharges, we can confirm that we have not received a Statement of Objections in connection with that investigation, nor have we been contacted by the European Commission in connection with their investigation into suspected anti-trust activities on the part of freight forwarders.

FedEx continues to co-operate with the investigations being carried out by various Government entities. We do not believe that we have engaged in any anti-competitive activities.

Runa Badami on behalf of FedEx Express
