Alliances & Joint Ventures Industry & Economy - Water States - Maharashtra Veolia Water ties up with Doshion Our Bureau Mumbai, Feb. 21 Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, a European company in the business of water treatment, has announced a joint venture with an Ahmedabad-based water management company, Doshion Ltd. The new venture, Doshion Veolia Water Solutions, will cater to India and some countries of South-East Asian markets. The new company will focus on providing all applications of water treatment pertaining to industrial, municipal and other water needs in the region. Needs“With the Indian water management industry growing at a rate of close to 20 per cent, the new joint venture company would be looking at addressing the ever-growing water treatment needs. Doshion Veolia Water Solutions will offer solutions for industries for their pure and waste water treatment and sludge disposal requirements, and to municipalities for their drinking water, waste water and sludge management requirements,” said Mr Ashit Doshi, Managing Director, Doshion Ltd. “There is huge potential and great demand of water and waste water treatment and recycling in the Indian subcontinent. We are looking at India as a next big growth market for our water treatment business globally. “Our technology and Doshion’s manufacturing capabilities create a combination of low-cost and high-quality, which would bring a lot of value to our customers,” added Jean Michel Herrewyn, Executive Vice President & CEO, Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies.
