Wipro opens global service centre in Kuala Lumpur

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Feb. 21 Wipro Ltd has said it started a global service management centre (GSMC) in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. This centre would cater to the infrastructure and application management service requirements of customers across the ASEAN region through a remote service delivery model.

The centre would provide data centre management, network management, call centre technology management, business service management, managed security services and end-user support services, the company said in a statement.

It would provide multilingual technical support on a 24x7 basis, Wipro added.

“Asia Pacific is a focus market for us and we are pleased to launch the Kuala Lumpur GSMC. It will bring us closer to our customers in the ASEAN region and thereby allowing us to provide better support by adopting a proactive approach. GSMC KL is the latest addition to Wipro’s multiple GSMCs spread across various geographies.” said Mr Thandava Murthy, Chief Executive, Professional Services Division, Wipro Infotech.
