Mixed trend in spot rubber

Kottayam, Feb. 15 Spot rubber rates showed a mixed trend on Friday. According to sources exporters were comparatively active in the main marketing centres. RSS 4 finished unchanged at Rs 96 a kg at Kottayam while the grade improved by 50 paise to Rs 96.50 a kg at Kochi. The other gainers of the day were RSS 5 and ungraded rubber which remained firm on fresh demand amidst tight supply.

Futures firm

The March futures was firm at Rs 98.50 (97.49) a kg on MCX. The February contract expired at Rs 96.60 (95.82) a kg on NMCE, while the March futures improved to Rs 98.87 (97.19), April to Rs 102 (101.05) and May to Rs 104.09 (103.05) per kg for RSS 4.Spot prices were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 96 (96); RSS-5: 94.50 (94); ungraded: 92.50 (92); ISNR 20: 93 (93) and latex 60 per cent: 60 (60).
