UGC to offer special PG fellowships
Madurai, Feb. 15
Efforts will be taken to raise the percentage of those
joining higher education to 15 per cent from the
current level of 10.5 per cent during the 11th Plan, said Dr
A.K. Dogra, Joint Secretary, University Grants
Commission (UGC). Special fellowships are to be offered
at the post-graduate level in three courses - technology,
pharmaceutical and administration - with 1,000 slots
each, he said while presenting the awards to the winners
of the 6th State Level TVR Memorial Quiz, organised by
the RL Institute of Management Studies of Subbulakshmi
Lakshmipathy College of Science, here on Friday. - Our
