Messe Düsseldorf hopes to double revenue

New Delhi, Feb. 8 Messe Düsseldorf India Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, expects to double its revenue, from the present €5 million, in the next five years.

“Currently, the Indian operation contributes around four to five per cent to the total group’s turnover. And with more shows in different sectors planned for the future we expect the revenues to double in the next five years,” Mr Udo Schuertzmann, Managing Director, Messe Düsseldorf India Pvt Ltd, told Business Line.

The company also announced that it will be organising the 3rd edition of Tube India International 2008.

“Simultaneously, the second Metallurgy India 2008 and the third edition of the welding show Schweissen & Schneiden India 2008 along with Messe Essen GmbH will also be organised. The three exhibitions, which would have participation from around 214 companies from both India and abroad, will be held from February 13-15 in New Delhi,” he said.

The 3-day event is expected to showcase the latest technology from the top tube & pipe, metallurgy and welding, cutting and joining companies, suppliers, distributors, raw material suppliers.

“The show will provide a platform for both Indian and international exhibitors to display and also have interactions with the key decision makers from the industry,” Mr Schuertzmann said.

The company also plans to organise an exhibition for the medical industry in March and for the packaging industry in November. “Both these exhibitions will be held in Mumbai,” he added.
