JetLite plans Amristar-Bangkok flights from March 28

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Feb 1 Low cost airline JetLite plans to launch its first international operations with flights between Amritsar and Bangkok on March 28.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Garry Kingshott, told Business Line that while Government permission for the flight had been obtained, JetLite was in the process of getting landing and take off slots cleared at Bangkok and Amritsar airports.

JetLite, the name given to Air Sahara after it was taken over by Jet Airways, plans to operate a daily flight between the two cities, thereby providing the first non-stop connection between Punjab and Thailand.

“The airline will be a value airline and fares will be market determined,” Mr Kingshott said when asked on the pricing strategy.
