Muthoot Capital net at Rs 1.21 cr

The net profit of Muthoot Capital Services has grown by 73 per cent to Rs 1.21 crore (Rs 70 lakh) during the third quarter of current fiscal. The total income of the NBFC grew to Rs 3.60 crore (Rs 2.20 crore).

Mr Thomas George Muthoot, Managing Director, said the company has plans to become a member of the BSE and NSE and offer broking services through select branches of Muthoot Fincorp Ltd, which has 510 branches spread mainly across the Southern States as well as Mumbai and Pune. The company is also in talks with Indian and foreign companies which are well versed in the operational aspects of share broking business in order to partner with them.

In the second quarter of 2008, Muthoot Capital plans to provide loans to SMEs.
