Mumbai, Jan. 23 Jet Airways on Wednesday launched its daily direct flight service to Muscat and Doha from Kozhikode, Kerala. Simultaneously, Jet has launched flights from Kochi to Muscat and from Mumbai to Doha. Giving a breather to its competitors on the Gulf sector, CEO, Mr Wolfgang-Prock Schauer said, “We have no intentions to price ourselves at the lower end. Jet Airways being a premier airline will charge expected fares and would not be looking at lowering fares.” The air line plans to turn profitable on the Gulf route in the first year of operations itself, he said. While one way economy class fare would be starting at Rs 7,500 exclusive of taxes (Rs 2,200), the premier class one way fare would start at Rs 30,000 exclusive of taxes. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Airlines | Jet Airways (India) Ltd
