Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 16

Two companies supported by the Technology Business Incubator of the Technopark Thiruvananthapuram have been chosen for funding under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research’s Technopreneurship Promotion Programme. The two companies, Torque and Velozeta, will receive Rs 8 lakh and Rs 12 lakh respectively. Velozeta is developing a patented six-stroke internal combustion engine architecture, which is projected to improve fuel efficiency and reduce polluting emissions compared to existing engines, the release states. Torque, is a company that develops products for the mobile media and entertainment market. It has received funding from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research for its Mobile Crime and Accident Reporting Platform (MCARP).
